Inaugural Event
What Is Battle of the Badges?
Battle of the Badges is part competition, part community celebration—and 100% about supporting the men and women who show up for us every day.
First responder teams will compete in a series of fun, physical, and teamwork-focused challenges designed to be inclusive, spirited, and entertaining. While the competition happens on the field, the fairgrounds will be open to the public with food trucks, music, kids activities, and opportunities to explore emergency vehicles and equipment.
This is a day for:
-
Friendly rivalry
-
Community pride
-
Supporting first responders—together
The general public is invited to attend. Admission is $1 per person over the age of 12. Enjoy your community heros, learn more about their services, grab a bite from the food trucks, enjoy some music and make a day of it.
Why This Matters
This year’s Battle of the Badges was created to support a very real need.
Proceeds from the event will directly benefit Galway EMS, helping fund a new driveway and backup generator—infrastructure improvements that ensure faster response times, safer operations, and uninterrupted service during emergencies and power outages.
Every dollar raised stays local. Every sponsor, participant, and attendee plays a role.
